Who we Are and What we Do... The Cornell University Asbestos Management Program is administered by the Department of Environmental Health and Safety. It has been established to:
- minimize employee exposure to the hazards of airborne asbestos fibers
- meet the requirements of:
- to help ensure asbestos/lead waste is disposed of properly
- to provide technical services related to asbestos removal projects to the Cornell campus.
The program provides services including:
- asbestos building surveys
- identification and labeling of asbestos materials
- project design and specifications
- project and air monitoring
- OSHA compliance
- informational and training sessions
- emergency response to asbestos incidents
To arrange for services you may issue a ticket to EH&S
using the customer service ticket system.
