___ Are the safeguards firmly secured and not easily removable?
___ Do the safeguards ensure that no objects will fall into the moving parts?
___ Do the safeguards permit safe, comfortable and relatively easy operation of the machine?
___ Can the machine be serviced (i.e. oiled) without removing the safeguards?
___ Is there a process for shutting down the machinery before safeguards are removed?
___ Can the existing safeguards be improved?
___ Have appropriate measures been taken to protect workers against noise hazards?
___ Is the machine properly grounded?
___ Is the power supply properly fused and protected?
___ Is the operator wearing the appropriate personal protective equipment and not wearing loose fitting clothing or jewelry?
___ Is a lockout/tagout program followed to safely secure energized equipment during repairs?
