As a result of the fires at Seaton Hall University in January of 2000 legislation was drafted in New York State to enact mandatory reporting for all Universities in New York State on any campus living quarters. The right to know bill would have required that each University provide information to the public on any injuries, loss of life and loss of property that were a result of a fire related incident within campus owned living quarters. Although the bill was defeated we feel the spirit in which the bill was conceived to be general good practice. What you will find here are the statistics for the last three years for any campus dwelling.
