Several EH&S safety courses are now available on-line through the university Blackboard web site. To access these courses, point to http://blackboard.cornell.edu and search under the catalog - Environmental Health and Safety - for a listing of courses. To use Blackboard, you need to get a Blackboard account, which is done with the click of a button on the site. Then, within a day or two you will receive an email confirmation that you have a Blackboard account. After you locate the course of interest to you, you will need to click on the Enroll button to enroll yourself in that particular course.

After you have read the course content and viewed the course materials (often including a PowerPoint presentation), if the course has a quiz, you must take and submit the quiz in order to receive credit for taking the course. Your completed course will be entered into our training database, SafetyBase, as documentation that you took the course. We also encourage you to fill out the evaluation form to provide feedback on your experience with the course.
