Several EH&S safety courses are now available on-line through the university Blackboard web site.
To access these courses, go to the Blackboard web site at http://summer.blackboard.cornell.edu. To use Blackboard, you need to get a Blackboard account, which is done with the click of a button on this web site. Then within a day or two you will receive an email saying that you have been enrolled as a Blackboard user.
Then go to the Blackboard web site and search under the catalog – Environmental Health and Safety – for a listing of courses. After you locate the course of interest to you, you will need to click on the “Enroll” button to enroll yourself in that particular course.

After you have read the course content and viewed the course materials (often including a PowerPoint presentation), if the course has a quiz, you must take and submit the quiz in order to receive credit for taking the course.
Your name will be entered into our training database SafetyBase http://dataworks.fcs.cornell.edu/sb/ as documentation that you took the course. We also encourage you to fill out the evaluation form to provide feedback on your experience with the course.
