Welcome to EH&S's HomePage. Cornell's Environmental Health and Safety Program is here to serve you, our campus customer.
The men and women of Cornell's Department of Environmental Health and Safety are a group of committed health and safety professionals who support Cornell University's mission of excellence in educating the leaders of tomorrow and extending the frontiers of knowledge by coordinating the provision of quality programs and services to reduce safety, health, and environmental risks to the Cornell University community in a manner consistent with responsible fiscal and environmental stewardship.
EH&S consists of four sections: Administration, Fire Prevention and Emergency Services, Laboratory and Radiation Safety, and Occupational Health and Safety. Our services are described in the pages that follow; please browse as we have much to offer.
The success of our work is dependent on the cultivation and maintenance of safety partnerships with our customers. After all, we have to be a team. By working together we can effectively prevent accidents, injuries, and human exposures to hazardous materials and conditions, manage our hazardous wastes, and create a new level of safety awareness on campus.
